William Dunkason was born in 1788 to Robert and Ann (nee Seymour) and was baptised on 15th June 1788 at Boldre church.
William married Ann Gregory on 12th May 1810 and they had a son John in 1817.
Following Ann's death in 1828, William married Ruth Etheridge on 9th April 1829 at Boldre Church.
Ruth Etheridge was born in 1796 in Beaulieu, Hampshire, to Sarah Etheridge and Jonathan Etheridge. She was baptised at Beaulieu church on 26th November 1796.
The 1841 census lists William (a farmer) and Ruth living in Beaulieu Rails with 4 sons; John (20), James (10), George (9) and Charles (2) and 4 year old Sarah Etheridge.
In 1851 the census shows William (63) and Ruth(53) lived at Furze Lodge, Beaulieu Rails with sons James (20) and Charles (12) with 8 year old Harriet Gregory a visitor there. William, James and Charles were all working as agricultural labourers.
The 1861 census shows William farming 10 acres at Furzy Lodge living with Ruth and son Charles, a farm labourer. Widower Henry Etheridge (51) also lived with them as a servant/farm labourer.
William was buried at the chapel on 25th June 1863 by Rev J B Burt.
Ruth was buried at the chapel on 8th November 1870 also by Rev J B Burt
