George House was born in 1791 in Boldre to William and Mary (nee Boyce), the youngest of their six children. According to the Rev Comyn's notebooks the family lived on the site of what is now Harvey's Farmhouse. George was baptised on 5th April 1829 to become a member of the Baptist Church.
Sarah White was born in 1808 to Thomas and Sarah and was baptised in Beaulieu church on 17th May 1808. She was baptised in 1826 to become a member of the Baptist Church.
George and Sarah were married on 7th June 1830 at Beaulieu church and they had three sons Charles, George and Henry, and two daughters Mary and Matilda. The 1841 - 1861 censuses show the family living in Beaulieu (Hatchett Lane) and George working as a labourer.
The 1871 census shows daughter Matilda as a 'servant out of situation' living with George and Sarah who are both listed as paupers.
Both were buried at the chapel by the Rev John Bartlett Burt; George on 12th July 1871 and Sarah on 30th August 1876.
