Mary Mott was born in Exbury in 1795 to Robert Mott but we were unable to find information about her mother.
Henry Payne was born in Beaulieu in 1787 to James and Frances (nee Phillips) and was baptised at Beaulieu on 12th August 1787. He had an older sister Sarah and a younger brother Benjamin.
Henry married Mary in Beaulieu on 6th October 1817 and they had four children. Son Charles (b. 1823) and daughter Ann's (b. 1820) baptismal records list the family as living at Cripple Gate Beaulieu and Henry working as a 'Wooder'. Daughters Hannah (b. 1828) and Charlotte's baptismal records (b. 1830) list Henry as a gamekeeper.
The 1841 census lists Henry as a keeper living in Beaulieu with Mary and children Charles (15) and Hannah (10).The 1851 census again lists him as a gamekeeper in Beaulieu with Mary and their two adult daughters Hannah and Charlotte.
Rev John Bartlett Burt buried Mary at the chapel on 9th June 1855, Henry on 21st December 1859 and Charlotte on 29th May 1856.
No records could be found for Maria Mary's short life but we assume she was the daughter of Henry and Mary (who would have been 44 when she was born). According to the chapel's burial register she was buried by William Mursell on 16th June 1840.
