This December, Chapel Stores invites you to explore a unique selection of handmade treasures crafted with love and creativity. Our Christmas Arts & Craft Fair showcases the talents of local artists, each bringing their distinct artistic passion to our community. Here’s a sneak peek at the artists you’ll meet:

 

🎨 Mary Smith - Known as "lovepots," Mary’s work radiates her love of clay and her late son Adam. She creates beautiful pots using the potter’s wheel, coil techniques, and hand-building. Don’t miss her charming Christmas tree decorations and delightful porcelain penguins!

💍 Davina Downes - A talented painter and jewellery maker, Davina has been crafting stunning, handmade necklaces for over 20 years. Her unique pieces range from £15 to £100, making them perfect holiday gifts for loved ones.

🖌️ Carol Mileusnic - Inspired by the animals of the New Forest, Carol’s paintings capture the joyful essence of donkeys and other wildlife. Working in watercolors and acrylics, her whimsical works are sure to bring a smile and are available for commissions.

🌊 Jan Hawker - Drawing inspiration from the sea, forest, and local wildlife, Jan’s art includes a mix of stained glass creations and vibrant acrylic paintings. She is recognized by New Forest Marque Inspired for her beautiful renditions of animals, birds, and seascapes.

🌳Andrew Powell - Discover the breathtaking artwork of Andrew, a New Forest native whose paintings capture the beauty and chaos of natural landscapes. With a background in environmental science and a global career as a chef, Andrew's unique journey fuels his creative process. His art invites you to explore hidden wonders, from epic skies to intricate details underfoot, inspired by childhood memories and adventures in the New Forest.

⚡️Simon Ricketts – From his studio at Broomhills Farm, Simon creates intricate wooden sculptural work and makes beautiful personalised engraved mementos.
